Kilik, Xianghua and Nightmare are Back for Soulcalibur VI

Soulcalibur is back and its bringing a couple of familiar faces with it. The storied fighting game is onto its sixth installment with Soulcalibur VI and Nightmare, Kilik and Xianghua look ready to kick some ass.

There was also a fourth face revealed in the latest trailer, one that is totally new to the game. Grøh, “The Agent In Black,” is sporting some pretty cool weaponry and a rather emo outfit. His Darth Maul-esque double saber looks like it can deal some pretty heavy damage and might have some decent range too.

EA announces Progression Changes to Star Wars Battlefront II

In the never-ending saga that is Star Wars Battlefront II, EA has yet again made some announcements regarding changes to the game. In typical EA fashion,the core of their announcement is that they are gearing up to make some announcements in March, but it proves that EA hasn’t given up on the game that tanked their stock and got them a scolding by Disney.

The future announcements are supposedly going to revolve around the game’s progression, but we’ll have to wait another couple months to find out exactly what that means.

Nvidia Prefers Gamers To Cryptocurrency Miners

Ever since cryptos like Bitcoin and Ethereum began to explode last year, people having been buying graphics cards by the boat load with the sole intention of using them to mine crypto. This spike in demand has had a major impact on supply, which in turn has had a major impact on prices.

Nvidia has had enough, kind of. While they’re not actually taking a stand themselves, they’re asking retailers to put limits on people ordering their GPUs. In an interview with ComputerBase, Nvidia spokesman Boris Böhles said that “[translated from German] For Nvidia, gamers come first. All activities related to our GeForce product line are targeted at our main audience. To ensure that GeForce gamers continue to have good GeForce graphics card availability in the current situation, we recommend that our trading partners make the appropriate arrangements to meet gamers’ needs as usual.”

OWL and Dallas Fuel Make an Example of xQc and His Homophobic Slur

After hurling multiple homophobic remarks at an opposing player both during and after an OWL match, the Overwatch League suspended xQc for four games and fined him $2,000. Then his team, Dallas Fuel, went ahead and suspended xQc for the rest of the first stage.

Dead Cells Console Release Confirmed

Time to dust off your platformer skills, Dead Cells is coming to consoles later this year.

The gameplay and art style of this 2D action platformer were heavily influenced by the Castlevania franchise. Progression through the game is nonlinear and players are encouraged to explore and search for secrets. The game features permadeaths and near endless replayability thanks a “RogueVania” style.

Dead Cells was initially released as a PC exclusive on Steam Early Access and GoG early last year. The game garnered positive reviews, with critics praising it for its difficulty and fast-paced combat..

Popular League of Legends Streamers Hit By Hack

A few days ago, several of the biggest names in League of Legends streaming were hit by an apparent hack. While the streamers’ primary accounts remained untouched, a vulnerability was found in the form of their moderators, who had their accounts stolen to post derogatory and offensive language on the streamers’ main pages.

Among those known to be hit by the attack were major LoL streamers Tyler1, Doublelift, and IWillDominate. Fortunately for the streamers, the only things compromised were moderator accounts and none of their personal accounts. Moderator accounts have control over things like banning users and changes to the Twitch chat, but the function the hackers targeted was the ability to change the title of the stream, something which can be seen at the bottom of Twitch videos and when users search for streamers or games.
