It reminds us of something from a decade or two ago when games didn’t need to make sense to be considered fun. Indie Spotlight

Guacamelee 2, Oure and The Hong Kong Massacre for PlayStation as PGW

Sony is a pretty big supporter of indie games and they reiterated that fact by introducing five spectacular looking indie games at their Paris Games Week event. Spelunky 2, Guacamelee 2, Oure, The Gardens Between and The Hong Kong Massacre together look like the epitome of indie fun. Oure in particular is a brand new game about flying through a “cloudscape as you seek to reawaken the relics of a lost civilization.” Best of all, it’s out right now

You can check out all the games from Sony’s PGW event here.

Patches & Updates

Destiny 2 Patch 1.0.6.

Fortnite Update 1.8

Fortnite’s ‘Fortnitemares’ update isn’t all about Halloween. Though it comes with plenty of seasonal goodies, the update also brings leaderboards and an item shop to the game. BlizzCon 2017

Blizzcon 2017 is this weekend and as usual, it wasn’t easy to get your hands on floor tickets. Luckily, this year Blizzard is offering their ‘Virtual Tickets.’ They $39.99 and will grant you “a front row seat at BlizzCon 2017 from the comfort of your own couch, live and in high definition. You’ll get comprehensive coverage of both days of the show, including panels, contests, interviews, the closing ceremony, and more.”

The virtual ticket is a cool concept, especially for an audience that is already so used to virtual interaction, but $39.99 does seem a bit steep.

BlizzCon 2017 takes place November 3 and 4 in Anaheim, CA.
