H1Z1’s Playerbase Is Being Killed by PUBG and Fortnite

The PUBG loot updates come courtesy of the new Fever and Militia crates. Each is scheduled to be released on February 22 to celebrate the beginning of the new season.

The Fever crate features retro items inspired by “the fashion of the 70s and 80s,” while the Militia crate contains the Erangel resistance force outfit, Miramar frontiersman outfit and much more.”

Fortnite is also celebrating the start of their new season with some new loot (shocking, I know). The main new outfit showcased in their Season 3 Battle Pass announcement was a slim astronaut suit. Other cosmetic details were sparse, but Epic did reveal exactly what you’d be getting with the new seasons’s battle pass. Specifically, it comes with six out fits, 21 emoticons, four emotes, five skydiving FX trails, three gliders and a host of other cosmetic flares.

H1Z1’s Playerbase Is Being Killed by PUBG and Fortnite

According to GitHypH1Z1 has been bleeding users ever since last August. In July of last year, the game’s concurrent player numbers on Steam peaked at roughly 150,000. Six months later, that number had dropped an incredible 78 percent, to just 33,000.

Things have only gotten worse in 2018. H1Z1’s concurrent player count is down 91 percent since its peak and is now  hovering in the 10,000-14,000 range. That’s an unbelievable fall from glory for a game that was once at the top of the emerging battle royale genre.

Riot Announces Vietnam Will Be Its Own Competitive Region

Vietnam has officially been made its own competitive region. Previously a part of the GPL (Garena Premier League), Vietnam was coupled with many other regions for a chance to play competitively. The Best Thing on the Internet, This Week

This awesome retro-modern piece of tech was being shown off on Reddit earlier this week, but don’t go thinking that owning something like this is a pipe-dream. There are precise instructions online detailing how you can make one of these bad boys for yourself.

User  breaks it all down on a cool site called Instructables. Though it seems like a fairly complex process, the final product sure makes it look worth it in the end.
