Game Releases

Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus (PS4, Xbox, PC)

You want to unapologetically kill some Nazis? If so, then this is the game for you. In a week packed to the brim with good games, this is the one to get if you want to channel your inner Lt. Aldo Raine.

America, 1961. Your assassination of Nazi General Deathshead was a short-lived victory. Despite the setback, the Nazis maintain their stranglehold on the world. You are BJ Blazkowicz, aka “Terror-Billy,” member of the Resistance, scourge of the Nazi empire, and humanity’s last hope for liberty. Only you have the guts, guns, and gumption to return stateside, kill every Nazi in sight, and spark the second American Revolution.

Assassin’s Creed: Origins (PS4, Xbox, PC)

The return of Assassin’s Creed is finally here. After a year hiatus in which the series’ combat system was completely rebuilt, we travel back to ancient Egypt in all its glory. The game’s world is rumored to be bigger and more diversely populated than ever before.

Ancient Egypt, a land of majesty and intrigue, is disappearing in a ruthless fight for power. Unveil dark secrets and forgotten myths as you go back to the one founding moment: The Origins of the Assassin’s Brotherhood.

Super Mario Odyssey (Switch)

Super Mario Odyssey is almost undoubtedly the most anticipated title of the year. Along with Breath of the Wild, this is the title that we’ve been waiting for ever since we first glanced the Switch. It’s Mario like we’ve never seen before and it has the potential to be the greatest success or most tremendous flop of this generation.

Use amazing new abilities—like the power to capture and control objects, animals, and enemies—to collect Power Moons so you can power up the Odyssey airship and save Princess Peach from Bowser’s wedding plans!

Thanks to heroic, hat-shaped Cappy, Mario’s got new moves that’ll make you rethink his traditional run-and-jump gameplay—like cap jump, cap throw, and capture. Use captured cohorts such as enemies, objects, and animals to progress through the game and uncover loads of hidden collectibles. And if you feel like playing with a friend, just pass them a Joy-Con™ controller! Player 1 controls Mario while Player 2 controls Cappy.

The Mummy Demastered (PC, PS4, Xbox, Switch)

The Mummy Demastered was created by WayForward, the same studio that brought us the fantastic Shantae series. Their latest game isn’t just some cheap game version of the epically bad Tom Cruise flick though, it’s a 16-bit Metroidvania title that reportedly takes the genre to new heights.

A powerful ancient evil has arisen, and the war to save humanity has begun! The Mummy Demastered throws you into a 16-bit-inspired battle against the undead in a 2D, nonlinear, action-packed adventure. As an elite agent in the monster-hunting Prodigium organization, you must use a variety of weapons, upgrades, and mysterious artifacts to defend mankind against the supernatural hordes of Princess Ahmanet. Your Prodigium unit is already on the scene, but HQ lost contact with them hours ago. Only by exploring tombs, forests, abandoned tunnels, and the cursed streets of London will you discover the fate of your allies. But beware – Ahmanet commands legions of undead, insects, plague-ridden vermin, and worse! If you’re not careful, you’ll be the next soul in her army.

High Hell

With a unique art style, stylized dogs in pants and the ability to rescue virgin goats, High Hell is and FPS unlike anything else on the market.

High Hell is a neon-soaked, arcade-action first-person shooter from Terri Vellmann (Heavy Bullets) and Doseone (Enter the Gungeon, Gang Beasts). Descend upon the criminal underground with the most blessed of shotguns and bring lethal salvation to those that have fallen from the light. Righteous fury and fancy footwork are crucial to survive an escalating, absurd series of outlandish missions. Pop brainwashed chimps, deface corporate effigies, and dismantle the business dealings of the unrepentant cartel in a vibrant remix of the classic first-person shooter.
