The event will begin at 5 p.m. PT Friday and will run for 48 hours, concluding at 5 p.m. PT Sunday. Just like with all Games Done Quick events, 100% of donations will be going to charity.
According to GDQ,
“The Houston Food Bank is America’s largest food bank in distribution to its network of 600 hunger relief charities in 18 southeast Texas counties. […] The Houston Food Bank will provide food and supplies in the short term and for many months to come to residents in southeast Texas who will struggle to rebuild their lives. The Food Bank will work closely with their network of partner agencies to ensure food is getting to those who need it most.”
Games Done Quick are always a blast to watch and they’re a great introduction to the world of speedrunning for the uninitiated. Jak 3, Crash Bandicoot N.Sane Trilogy, Super Mario Galaxy 2, Ori and the Blind Forest, Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow and The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past are just a few of the dozens of titles that’ll be put to the test this weekend. You can see the entire event schedule on the GDQ website.
You’ll be able to donate and watch the whole event on the Games Done Quick Twitch channel and while you’re there, keep an eye out for some awesome Harvey Relief merch.
