The Q2 earnings reports are in for Nvidia, Rovio and Tencent and things are looking up for all three companies.

The Chinese giant Tencent, owners of Riot Games, Supercell and more, saw substantial growth in its gaming divisions. A 39 percent increase in online games revenue, growing to $3.56 billion, is good news for both investors and fans of League of Legends, one of the company’s biggest money makers.

It isn’t just online gaming that’s booming for Tencent though, they also saw an increase of 43 percent year-on-year for the division that oversees their PC and mobile games, Value Added Services, bringing the VAS revenue to $5.4 billion.

Nvidia also experienced a nice boost last quarter, earning a record $2.23 billion in revenue. That’s a 56 percent increase from the same quarter last year. The company expects to see further growth in Q3 as consumers continue to buy into their newest product generation.

Both of Rovio’s divisions, Gaming and Brand Licensing, saw substantial growth to their revenue as well. Gaming revenue grew to $72.12 million on the heels of a 30 percent jump in monthly paying users. Meanwhile, their Brand Licensing division grew a whopping 242.6 percent to $29.29 million.

All of this comes at the same time as rumors swirl about a future Rovio IPO. According to Bloomberg, “the company could raise about $400 million from a local market listing” that could come as early as next month.

All three of these companies will look to stay strong in Q3, a time that is notoriously difficult for gaming companies, before the big holiday push comes in Q4.
